This is a painting I started last october, and I let it down on december.... I didn't touch it for months. I finally finished it few months ago but quite quickly, because I didn't want to spend too much time on it... (I wanted to paint something else).

So it's not -really- finished...

I began to write a story about this girl, but I let it down too.
It was about a girl walking in forbidden woods, she picked up a flower and was immedialty sentenced to death.
As the flower looses its petals, she's dying.
I played with colors (green and red) but I think it would have been better if I had the courage to end it well...

Anyway, here it is.
about 40 hours (hard to say....)

I like the slightly chaotic and foreboding mood in the picture, the sky, the pose and all - I just wish I had the patience to draw such backgrounds... Very strong story and the picture does not let it down. Really good yet again! And I love the colours... Good composition too :)

I love the classic painting feel to this. It gives me the feel of that one painting, of walking through the valley of death. o.o Simply breath taking. I like this the most out of all your artwork!

This is amazingly beautiful, haunting yet beautiful. I love the story and the greens and the reds are just perfect!!

When I look at this picture, I see that the minute we start to destroy the world around us, the minute we start to destroy ourselves, because the world, nature and all is what we live off, and we are sawing away the branch we're sitting on. Is that the idea this image was trying to convey? It is a startlingly beautiful image, very classical in some ways, and surrealist in others, especially in how her bloodied cloak melts into the river of blood far beneath her.
